THC E-Juice vs Concentrate

There are a lot of reasons why a person might switch from smoking marijuana to vaping it. Maybe you’re trying to avoid smoke or you want to be more discreet. Maybe you just need more control over the exact amount you’re getting. But it’s a bit more complicated than throwing out your pipe and buying a vape pen. You’ll have to choose what you want to put in your vaping device.

E-Liquids

E-juices are made from propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, or a mixture of both. They can be purchased from stores or made at home if you know what you’re doing. When e-juice is devoid of nicotine and instead infused with cannabis, you have THC e-juice.

E-juice is a popular choice for its different flavors. Choosing your exact e-juice gives people a strong sense of individuality.

THC Oil

Moving down the list of vaping options is THC oil. Oil is extracted from marijuana flowers by use of a solvent, often butane but sometimes naphtha as well. The process is considerably more complicated than making THC e-juice so making your own oil at home is not advised.

THC oil is a good place to start for users who do not need or want an immediate, intense high. The sensation from THC oil vaping is usually very manageable. If you’re in the market for a discreet high you can take on the go, THC oil is a good choice.

Another advantage to THC oil is its predictability. The nature of the oil means the ingredients are spread evenly throughout the mixture. Each puff is going to be consistent.

Wax

When people talk about wax they may be talking about two separate ideas. Sometimes all concentrates in general are referred to as wax, but there is also a specific type of concentrate that is also called wax. This particular concentrate is the consistency of soft wax, hence the name.

There’s a bit of a learning curve when it comes to using wax, so it’s a good choice for people who have been on the scene for awhile and know what they want. Unlike THC oil, the strength of any given hit using wax is going to vary depending on the wax itself as well as the temperature, so there’s a fair bit of experimentation that goes into finding the appropriate hit for your needs.

THC wax is known for giving a much more sudden and intense feeling than oils, so keep that in mind while you shop around. Ultimately what you choose to fill your pen with is going to boil down to your own personal taste and concerns, so experiment a little bit until you find the combination that’s perfect for you.
